At the start of every new semester professors begin the 4-month classroom relationship with introductions. The instructor will also always outline the syllabus in the first class before opening the floor up for questions. I always raise my hand if the class hours occur within lunch hours (12-2pm) or dinner hours (6-8pm). The question is comprised of merely 8 words: What is your policy on eating in class?

As someone that is constantly thinking about food I am grateful that my instructors share a common philosophy that allow students to snack in class. One time I had share a granola bar with an instructor but that is a price I’m willing to pay for the privilege to dine in class.

Thanks to a ridiculously high number of classes during meal hours I now excel at creating boxed meals in addition to baking feel-better-donuts (my strategy to comfort crying people is baking them donuts), popping popcorn over the stove, and baking post-night-out cookies. While I am not a food blogger, if you’re looking for quick and easy meals, meals with easy clean-up, or just healthified treats the following round up is perfect!
